European Christmas. Bach and Vivaldi
A review of the most outstanding musicians of the orchestra performing as soloists, with exhilarating music dispelling any anxiety, from Vivaldi’s inspiration in the reflections of Venetian channels till Bach’s masterhood echoed by French Baroque. The mentor of Sinfonietta Rīga, Normunds Šnē, will be heard and seen as both an oboe player and a conductor. Together with the ever youthful maestro, the concert will feature the performance of the Concertmaster of Sinfonietta Rīga Marta Jagmane, the Deputy Concertmaster Anti Kortelainen, who has transformed from a Finnish into a Latvian musician already several years ago, the Concertmaster of the 2nd violin group Agnese Kanniņa-Liepiņa, the first flute Ilona Meija and the first bassoon Jānis Semjonovs.
