European Christmas. Kremerata Baltica. Vivaldi’s <i>The Seasons</i>

The hit of the programme is the cycle of violin concertos, „Seasons”, by Antonio Vivaldi, which is one of the super hits of classical music, always bringing pleasure to the audience. Together with the orchestra Kremerata Baltica that is well-experienced in Baroque music, , the concert will feature the performance of the young Russian virtuoso Sergey Dogadin who already has a perfect experience of making music together with our musicians.

Sergey Dogadin is one of the most promising Russian young musicians, laureate of nine international competitions. He has performed together with the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra and London Philharmonic Orchestra, Estonian an Latvian national symphony orchestras, symphony orchestras of Ulster, Budapest and Taipei, St. Petersburg Philharmonic Orchestra, and many others as well as with conductors such as Vladimir Ashkenazy, Vladimir Spivakov, Yuri Simonov, Mark Gorenstein, Alexander Dmitriev, Nikolai Alekseyev, Alexander Rudin, Vasilii Petrenko, and others. Sergey had the honour to play the violins of Niccolo Paganini and Jochann Strauss. In 2008, the musician’s first solo album Dogadin was released by Munich-based label Solo musica. Many of the audience still keep in good memory the brilliant performance of Sergey Dogadin together with the State Chamber Orchestra Sinfonietta Rīga an Nomunds Šnē in autumn 2006, the violinist’s cooperation with the Latvian National Symphony Orchestra in the performance of the Violin Concerto by Jean Sibelius in August 2011 in Dzintari Concert Hall, and his solo in the Triple Concerto by Beethoven in February 2012 in the Great Guild Hall.
